VICTORIA PARK HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCATION

MAILBOX STANDS MAINTENANCE AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY

The following policy pertaining to the reimbursement of the costs of acquisition of common mailbox stands was adopted by a vote of the VPHA Board of Trustees at their regularly-scheduled quarterly meeting on September 19, 2016.

The VPHA will partially reimburse association members for the cost of materials used to build or acquire common mailbox stands. Common mailbox stands are those that use a single (sometimes double) vertical post to support mailboxes for multiple Victoria Park homes. The following conditions must be met to qualify for reimbursement:

  1. The materials list submitted to the Board for reimbursement must include the original receipts for all items. No items for which there is not a receipt will be reimbursed.
  2. The amount of reimbursement is $25 per home whose mailbox resides within the common mailbox stand.
  3. The completed work must be inspected and approved by the VPHA Architecture Control Committee before reimbursement.
  4. The common mailbox stand must comply with all current USPS regulations.

Although not a requirement, common mailbox stands with locking mailboxes are highly recommended.

Maintenance of the common mailbox stand and mailboxes thereon is the responsibility of the homeowners whose mail is delivered to the given mailbox stand.
